Join me in the journey to heal your inner self.....
Imagine yourself lying on a massage table, lighting is dim, there is a glow of soft light and the sound of soothing spa music. Your journey begins with the inhalation of wonderful smelling oils and you can feel the energy wrapping itself around you. Slow, deep breath in and exhale out. Do this a few times. Let yourself go with each breath. Feel the soothing hands massage your neck and shoulders and inhale the wonderful oils. Let your mind go.
As the tension in your neck and shoulders melt away, next are your feet. Oils are chosen especially for you and applied to the hands of your therapist. Touch is constant while applying and massaging. You will find a different technique is used to apply the oils and work them into your skin. Again, you will feel energy start vibrating through your body from your toes on up.
When the feet are done, you will flip over and the oils are applied and massaged into your back. There is massage, feathering and raindrops on your back. I am going to step aside for a moment and share an experience I had. Now, I am one who enjoys a good massage and feels relaxed while getting one and afterwards. With the Raindrop Technique, I am taken to a whole new level of relaxation and inner healing. I am not able to form a thought. My mind is blank. I also have fallen asleep which is not something I have ever done in a massage.
So while lying on your tummy, you will feel drops of oil dripping onto your back and the massage technique is heaven. Once you're completely relaxed, you turn onto your back again and the technique winds down with neck, shoulders, head. You can feel the energy just pulsating through you. I feel like I am floating and in a state of pure calmness like I have never experienced before.
I am then left to rest and come back to reality. When I feel ready, I can redress and head out of the magical room. This is always hard, and I tend to do this faster than I probably should, but I cannot stay because I know I would never want to leave.
The first time I had this done, I was told that she could tell I carried my stress in my neck and between my shoulders blades without ever touching me. After the session, the only area that gave me issue was between my shoulder blades. It itched SO bad. Come to find out that is your body detoxing itself and it is good.
I could write on the feelings and sensations and how much I love this for days. I encourage everyone to try it. Each person will experience something different depending on your needs, issues and the oils used. I don't know why I am always amazed at how healing natural products can be, but I still am.
As I write this, I want to thank my wonderful therapist Reba. She has opened my eyes to many wonderful things, Raindrop is so amazing and so is she. Thank you :)
this makes me want to go get one right now :) I will definitely have to try this out soon. Thanks!
